STEININGER Kitchen: The communication hub at sea

What began as a dream for an investor has now grown into an extraordinary project. A few years ago, the yacht owner originally planned to commission an explorer yacht from the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche to travel the world with his family. Today, he is the majority owner of this globally leading shipyard in the explorer segment.

Seven years around the world with the Flexplorer Maverick

2024 will be a very special year for the investor and his family, as they embark on a seven-year world voyage aboard their 45-meter Maverick. "For us, the Maverick is much more than just a ship. It will be our secure home during our journey around the world," explains the passionate yacht owner. Every aspect of the vessel, from the crew to the equipment, has been carefully planned to ensure perfection.

Bespoke Design at the Highest Level

One of the key features of the Maverick is the custom-made kitchen, which the owner designed together with designer Martin Steininger. “When we visited Martin’s showroom, we immediately sensed the outstanding quality. We quickly decided to go fully custom-made for our yacht and developed a complete four-part kitchen and bar ensemble for both the indoor and outdoor areas,” recalls the owner.

On the yacht's deck, the robust and weatherproof ROCK AIR kitchen archipelago has been installed, impressing with its durability and aesthetic appeal. Inside the yacht, the award-winning FOLD kitchen transforms the space into the perfect communication hub with its clean design and innovative use of space.

“The main kitchen below deck is the central communication hub of the Maverick. It is located in the middle of the ship and opens generously to the salon,” adds the yacht owner.

Clear design language and supreme functionality

For Martin Steininger, this project presented an exciting challenge: “The fascinating thing about the Maverick is its distinctive design language. We incorporated this into the kitchen architecture to create clear structures. Honest materials, robust surfaces, ample storage, and perfect functionality were essential requirements that aligned with our design approach.”

STEININGER poured all its expertise into this exceptional project. "The overall concept of the yacht must have a certain symmetry — clean lines, nothing overloaded, and the functionality must be immediately apparent," emphasizes the yacht owner.

“We design custom-made kitchen architecture at the highest level. The owner should see themselves in the design, and it should enhance life on board. Everything we create must inspire visually and, of course, function perfectly. This philosophy drives all of our projects,” concludes Martin Steininger.
