Hotel M

Architecture: steininger.architecture, Design: steininger.designers

This architectural concept was developed by STEININGER for the expansion of the Mörwald Relais & Châteaux Hotel am Wagram in the heart of Lower Austrian wine country. Thanks to its prominent location and new road connections, the open space in front of the hotel forms its new social hub. All around the building, the space is designed to accommodate events, as well as providing a central place for people to meet. The expansion makes use of existing structures, as well as adding small new buildings available for all local residents to use. The hotel makes a discreet impression thanks to its clean forms – and quite literally reflects its surroundings in the newly designed Skybox. This allows the building to fulfil two different design criteria, establishing itself as an impressive landmark in its own right as well as adding to the area’s landscape. The Skybox: a landmark and an addition to the landscape. Savoir-vivre with superb views of the natural environment – the floor-to-ceiling window facade spans the entire lounge space. The lounge’s elegant sofa arrangement helps to provide an attractive space for family and friends to spend time together.
