A retreat that presents itself as a light-flooded oasis of calm during the day and transforms into a stylish lounge with a club atmosphere in the evening. STEININGER has realised this transformation with masterful precision - with the courage to change and an unerring sense of aesthetics, quality and atmosphere.

A space that invites - and seduces

The magic of this unique place unfolds as soon as you enter. Dark, sensual materials nestle into the room and create an atmosphere of cosiness, while cleverly placed lighting accents create a sophisticated mood. During the day, sunlight floods the elegant textures, opening up the view into the garden and emphasising the sophisticated interplay of contrasts. But when dusk falls, the real show begins: light sources create targeted highlights, mirrored surfaces capture reflections and make the room appear larger, while luxurious materials such as velvety wallpaper, soft upholstery and gleaming stone create an ambience that entices you to linger.

A design that makes luxury tangible

Every element of this room has been carefully chosen to create a smooth transition between tranquillity and conviviality. Dark, warm colours cover the architecture like a protective shell and create an intimate, almost mysterious atmosphere. Fine wallpapers by Moooi lend the walls a sensual depth, while the sumptuous sofas by Living Divani and Paola Lenti transform the room into a luxurious nest of relaxation. In the centre of the action, the custom-made PURE kitchen from STEININGER blends seamlessly into the overall picture - a statement of minimalism, functionality and uncompromising elegance. This is complemented by a lighting design by Flos, which emphasises the architecture like a gentle choreography of light and shadow. Outside, the comfort continues seamlessly: Furniture by Roche Bobois brings the exclusivity of the interior outside and creates a stage for unforgettable summer nights in the open air.

The bar - the beating heart of the room

Every great evening begins at the bar - a place that stages encounters, gets conversations flowing and creates memories. It is more than just a functional area, it is an experience. The extraordinary green marble shimmers in the light, while the iconic ‘Swirl’ lighting object by Orbit sits enthroned above the bar like a floating sculpture. Mirrored surfaces reflect the atmosphere and lend the room a vibrant depth. This bar is not just a visual highlight - it is an invitation to take a seat, lose yourself and savour the moment.

Architecture that blurs boundaries

What makes this project so unique is the fluid connection between indoor and outdoor space. The party zone opens out onto the garden and creates a seamless fusion of architecture and nature. While the pool shimmers in the evening sun and the terrace becomes a stage for balmy summer nights, the luxurious character of the space remains tangible at all times. This deliberate demarcation from the rest of the building, which is a stylish symbiosis of traditional villa and modern interior, emphasises the exclusivity of this area.

From indoor pool to oasis of well-being - the art of transformation

One of the biggest challenges of this project was to create an atmosphere of intimacy and cosiness from a former swimming pool. Here, the mastery lies in the detail: an open gas fireplace organises the space and provides both warmth and structure by separating the lounge from the TV area. Soft textiles meet shiny surfaces, creating tension and harmony at the same time. Direct and indirect strip lighting draws gentle lines through the architecture and emphasises the depth of the room, while luxurious materials lend it an almost hypnotic sensuality.

But what makes this room really special is the personal touch of the owner. She has not only lived in it, she has given it a soul - with carefully selected decorative elements that emphasise its luxurious character without dominating the overall picture. This symbiosis of well thought-out architecture and individual style takes the project to a new level.
